The speciality of Restorative Dentistry is concerned with the maintenance of healthy supporting tissues teeth and the replacement of the same. It covers the sub specialities of Prosthodontics (missing teeth) Periodontology (supporting tissues) and Endodontics (pulp and root canal treatment ).
Mr Pollock is a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry and Lead Clinician at The Royal London Hospital, Barts and the London NHS Trust. He is also Hon. Consultant at Southend Hospital, Hon Senior Clinical Lecturer at Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Consultant at Holly House and The London Independent Private Hospitals and his private practice base at Queens Dental Practice, Buckhurst Hill.
Mr Pollock specialises in advanced restorative dentistry including the use of dental implants in the replacement of missing teeth. His NHS interests include the treatment of patients born with cleft lip and palate and those with missing teeth. He is also part of the oncology network treating patients suffering with cancer of the mouth.
He is an examiner for future specialist in restorative dentistry for national institutions and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Mr Pollock regularly has combined clinics with oral and maxillofacial surgeons, orthodontic and plastic surgeons, so comprehensive advice and treatment can be provided.
Mr Pollock works with highly trained and dedicated dental technicians who understand the need for life-like tooth replacements and functionally superior restorations.
He is keen to provide impartial diagnosis and treatment plans for general dental practitioners and patients and is able to provide advanced treatment. He uses up-to-date techniques preventing the destruction of natural tooth structure to enhance appearance and function.
